Christian Smith, known professionally as Crankdat, is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer from Youngstown, Ohio. He first stepped onto the scene back in 2016 and quickly took the world by storm amassing millions of plays.

As a multi-faceted artist, Crankdat is not just a world-renowned producer. He’s also a graphic designer creating his own visuals and album art. His artistic ability shines through in every project he releases. And he continues to up his game and experiment with his sound as he tours the world playing massive festivals and stages, including continuing his residency in Las Vegas

Crankdat brings a new sound to his repertoire with the genre he has coined. After releasing his lead single, “B.T.W. (The Whistle)” the idea of Slaughter House was born, serving as more than just the title of his EP, but also a genre he coined. This EP utilizes elements of electro-house and his distinct four-on-the-floor bass to create his new genre of electronic music. Released on Monstercat Uncaged, “B.T.W. (The Whistle)” has already gained mass praise since its release. Plus the track sets the scene for the rest of his hard-hitting EP.
